Reviews of Tubman Funeral Home Valley Crematorium

Without prejudice or discrimination, this place is seriously not recommended. Operator was cold, rude and judgmental to and about the mother of a man killed on the highway, and refused to even let her know if her son's ashes were still at the funeral home, or elsewhere, saying "That's [her] problem". The mother had a very good relationship with her son, whom she carried during pregnancy, gave birth to and raised until he was over two years old, during which time she also produced two daughters, one after the other. Later in life, her son left home (ex-husband & stepmother) to live with her for several years as a teenager and always kept in touch by visits, telephone and texts. She was and still is devastated by her son's sudden death, so to be treated so callously by the funeral director was entirely unjust, uncalled for, unprofessional and out of line. The woman has her son's birth, baptism and death certificates, and SGI has properly recognized her as the dead man's mother. The funeral was several months ago and she has only now been told, by someone else and after considerable stress, where her son's ashes are. This place is not recommended to anyone that wants to be treated with any level of real compassion when they lose someone.
